Why Create Student Profiles?
Creating profiles helps you:
Save each learner’s preferences (e.g., access method).
Track activity use and progress over time.
Build playlists and assign resources to individuals.
Encourage consistency when several staff members support the same child.
How to Create a New Student Profile

- Log in to HelpKidzLearn Hub
- Go to https://hub.helpkidzlearn.com and sign in using your username (not your email address) and password.
- Access the Profiles Section
- From your Hub's universal header, select the profile dropdown (in the top right).
- Add a New Profile
- Click Create Profile
- Enter a word or the student’s name (consider PII)
- Choose an icon and colour to help you identify the profile easily.
- Set Preferences
- Choose the preferred access method (e.g., touch, switch, eye gaze).
- Save the Profile
- Click Save & Close to finish. The profile is now ready to use with activities and playlists.
Editing an Existing Student Profile
Go to Manage Profiles in your profiles menu.
Find the student you want to update.
Click Edit Profile (pencil icon).
Update any details: word or name, access settings, colour or icon, etc.
Click Save & Close when you’re done.
Tips for Managing Profiles
Regular Updates: Keep profiles current to reflect any changes in the child’s needs or abilities.
Access Settings: Review access preferences if you switch devices or introduce new equipment.
Viewing Progress and Analytics
Once profiles are created, you can track activity completion and progress over time.
Go to Analytics in the Hub.
Filter by student to see which activities have been used and how often.
Use this information to celebrate progress and plan next steps.
