At HelpKidzLearn, safeguarding privacy and ensuring secure access are central to how we support schools. As part of our security commitment, we provide OpenID Connect (OIDC) single sign-on (SSO) for administrator accounts.

What is OIDC?

OIDC (OpenID Connect) is a secure authentication standard that allows users to log in with an existing trusted account, such as Google. This improves account security and reduces the need to manage multiple login credentials.

Security Benefits for Schools

  • Stronger protection – Authentication handled by trusted identity providers (e.g., Google) with industry-leading encryption

  • Reduced risk of password breaches – Eliminates the need to manage or store multiple passwords

  • Centralised account management – Schools can manage staff access securely using existing Google Workspace accounts

  • Improved efficiency – Streamlined logins save time for staff and reduce IT support demands

How It Works at HelpKidzLearn

  • Administrators can sign in securely to their HelpKidzLearn Admin accounts using Google via OIDC

  • Existing admin accounts can be linked to Google for simplified future logins

  • OIDC is designed to protect user credentials while ensuring seamless access

Important Notes

  • No student data is collected, stored, or processed

  • OIDC single sign-on is available only for administrator accounts

  • HelpKidzLearn does not support rostering systems such as Clever
